Sleep

Liam and Ella are sharing a room and are finally out of our room and bed. I felt it was time so I had Ella practice sleeping in her bed through the day last Thursday then on Friday I took apart Liam's bed and I moved it to Ella's room. When night came, I told Ella she was going to help mommy and daddy by watching Liam. Ella had no trouble going to her bed that night. She has cried some in the past 3 days but she has transitioned better than we could have expected.
Ella is growing so fast. Each day I here her saying something new. That mommy, that Ella., she said today when she was looking at photos. She is also counting to 3, and she flys through an advanced puzzle without even thinking about it.

Oh, how amazing the iPod touch is. I am writing from it right now.

a nice sunday afternoon

Ella is upstairs in her room singing the wheels on the bus over and over again. It is nap time but if she willingly stays in her room and stays quiet, i don't care if she actually sleeps. She usually conks out after awhile but i don't think she will today.
Liam is sleeping on the sofa. His nap time is due to end any moment now and he will wake wanting to be fed. During this quiet time i decided to make some chocolate oatmeal cookies.
Carl is outside with his dad working on the garage. I have been able to open the windows for the first time this season to air out the house. it is nice. i think we may be getting a storm later but the day has been nice and warm, if not a little humid.
if i was able to get a nap in myself, this would be a perfect Sunday.
oh, there's Liam....

2 Month Check-up

 

Nap Time

 

When Ella is sent to her room for a nap or to bed for the night, this is where we often find her a few minutes later. She is smart enough to remain real quiet and to stay on the steps that are out of our field of vision from the sofa but we always find her out and send her back to her room.
