The forecast called for a BABY Shower
Jessica Southard, second from the left in the back, held a baby shower/brunch for me last sunday. I had kind of figured that i would not have one since I don't have many friends here but Jessica offered. I am glad she offered. I really did want one. I keep missing out on certain things, like a bachlerotte party, because I keep moving and having to start all over with friendships and I hate that.
Anyway, the others in the photo are Mary Gag, Jessica, Yvette Ebb, Mary Gillies, Sally Jones. In the front is Beth Gillies, and ME. Jessica had the brunch at Sunsets in Woodbury. The restuarant was nice and it had a great brunch buffet. The salad with fruit was especially good. We had a plate or two of food and some drinks, non-alcoholic for me
:( than the group had me open the gifts for the baby. The baby got spoiled! There were a lot of adorable clothes, of course, and a whale tub for bathing, some care items, blankets, a bobby pillow, and even a snow suit for the following winter. It really was a nice "shower" of gifts. After that we had dessert and continued to talk. We were there for hours and it was a great time. Plus, I walked out realizing that I do know more people in this city than I initially thought.
