29 weeks and 4 days along. I have gotten much bigger in the last few weeks. When i measured myself the other day i found that i am 38" across the widest expanse of my growing belly.
I have been busy cleaning up and organizing. there is so much left to do in the next 10 weeks. we still need to get a car seat, a changing table/dresser, a chair and ottoman and many small things for the layette.
one thing we may have taken care of soon is getting a safer car for the baby, and us to travel in. Carl's dad is getting rid of his old (2007) Honda Accord for a newer one and Carl asked if we could buy it off them instead of them trading it in. He said sure enough and we will be getting that taken care of soon. The car is not one that we dreamed of but the price is right and there was no way we could bring home our baby in a rundown Ford Explorer or a fallen apart Honda Civic, both more than 10 years old. My car alone is still running great for something that says it has 220,000 miles on it (the odometer stopped working effectively on it about 7 years ago so only about 1/3 to 1/2 the miles are actually logged) and has lost three door handles, two on the inside and one, recently, on the outside. Carl was to blame on all three instances. the two inside handles snapped in a way that they could still be used, if one was careful and educated on it, but the outside one snapped clean off and one could open that door from the inside, that happened to be broken too. That handle is on the front passenger side so most times, when i am traveling alone its not a problem but when i have carl with me its a big ordeal leaning over in my condition to open the door with a broken handle. We laugh about it but i cry on the inside :)Other problems with my car include a window that needs assistance rolling up so it will close properly. It was pried open about 4 years ago so someone could steal my car stereo and it came off the track and has had trouble since. My air conditioner also died last spring, for the second time, only this time we decided it was not worth the cost to repair. My muffler has had numerous repairs and replacements in the past 14 years, the most recent one being during our trip to Minnesota from California. The last major issue with the car concerned the radiator, but Carl and i replaced that ourselves one nice California day. Other than those issues my car has not had many major issues or costs. It has been a GEM and i will miss it when I have to say goodbye but it is for the good and safety of our baby.

We can learn a great lesson from your little civic...just keep going! Good luck on the new car and I'm excited to see you actually looking pregnant now! :)
